I'm Matt — an Emmy® Award-winning writer, director, and storyteller working across kids' TV, books, brand films, and the speaker stage. As co-creator of the International Emmy®-winning series Hardball and the supernatural comedy Spooky Files, my work has been streamed worldwide and broadcast by Netflix, the BBC, and ABC. I write, direct, produce, and perform — often all at once.
Over the years I've developed original content for Netflix, Northern Pictures, and Tony Ayres Productions, and co-authored two children's book series — Zoo Crew (Scholastic) and Zombie Diaries (Hardie Grant) — translated into ten languages.
Alongside my creative work, I collaborate with brands, agencies, and purpose-driven organisations to craft story-led films and campaigns. I've also spent more than a decade at NIDA, where I write and direct the third-year BFA Acting cohort's graduate showreels each year.
